Organizations to Explore

Occupational Safety and Health Administration

Publishes US powered-industrial-truck requirements. Employers must train and evaluate operators for the truck and workplace. The rule requires evaluation at least every three years and refresher training for specified problems or changes; it does not simply require every worker to repeat a course every three years. Check the rules that apply to the workplace and state.

Health and Safety Executive

Provides lift-truck safety guidance for Great Britain. Employers must ensure suitable training and competence, whether teaching in house or using an outside provider. HSE distinguishes basic, job-specific and workplace familiarization training. It gives no fixed universal interval for refresher training; monitoring and changed risks matter.

WorkSafeBC

Publishes British Columbia’s mobile-equipment rules. Section 16.43 names standards for lift-truck design and use and requires operator training under clause 6 of CSA B335-15. Different equipment types and dates can affect the applicable standard; the current publication date of a standard alone does not settle the legal requirement.
